From the Holy to Humanity

My work is a call and response.
The temptation, as with my faith, is to assume an air of control – to conquer the darkness by authoring a light of my own design. Rather, I strive to enter the space as a witness – to hear the voice of my Creator even as I hear the work cry out for one stroke or another; to rest when the work is silent – with the hope that the Holy might be translated through my humanity.
