In order to promote accessibility and convey its client-centered qualities, World Finance utilizes a range of distinguishable icons across its print and digital touch points. When a set of specialty icons for the company’s new Careers page was needed, the value of a more-engaging style of icons was realized, fueling the creation of a full library. This expansion challenged us to rethink the presentation of World Finance’s existing set of icons, and to generate a manifold of new icons in order to accommodate the company’s ever-developing client interactions.

Ideation

After researching and discussing existing styles of icon illustration, we decided to explore a direction that could employ a range of World Finance’s brand colors, and be simplified into two-color and one-color applications. The first development consisted of the five Careers page icons. These icons required conceptual and stylistic development until a strong and visually cohesive set emerged. 

Application

From these five initial icons, we established a consistent illustrative approach and expanded the library across the website and to other digital and printed materials.

Icon Libraries

The full library eventually included full-color, two-color, and one-color versions of each practically-used icon, as well as a few specialty icons, such as holiday travel and weatherproof icons.
